Searching for Boots
01Enter a boot name, model, or colorway — e.g. "Mercurial Vapor R9 Phenomeno".
02Use the large hero search on first visit, or the search bar in the topbar any time after that.
03Use the left navigation (desktop) or the bottom bar (mobile) to jump between Search, Recent, News, and Basket.
04Bootega checks 16 specialist retailers simultaneously and returns up to 6 web matches plus private seller listings.

Filters
01On the hero screen, filters sit inline below the search box — EU Size, Country, and Display Currency.
02Once you've searched, tap the "Filters" button next to the topbar search to adjust them in a dropdown (mobile: a bottom sheet).
03Display Currency converts all prices using live exchange rates — PHP, USD, GBP, EUR, and more.
04Changing any filter auto-refreshes active results after a short pause.

Reading Results
01Cards are ranked Strong → Moderate → Weak, then by price within each tier.
02Green border = strong match, amber = moderate, grey = weak confidence.
03Private seller cards (blue border) appear at the bottom — max 5 per search. A gold "Featured" tag marks promoted listings.
04The market bar shows Low, Median, and High prices once live prices load from retailer sites.

02See year, technology, famous players, launch price, scarcity, and collector verdict.
03AI-powered details may show "coming soon" while the archive expands — check back later.

Built from an archive, not a warehouse
Bootega began as @boots_in_phil, an Instagram archive photographing rare and forgotten football boots, cataloguing colorways, and tracing the stories stitched into leather and synthetic uppers long after they left the shelf. That page grew into Bootega — evolving step by step into the world's first football boot dedicated search engine, built to do at scale what a single archive account never could: compare retailers, track live prices, and surface independent sellers in one search.
The archive remains the institution's core. Every search draws on sustained cataloguing — not only what is listed today, but what a boot means, when it dropped, and why it mattered.
What "From Manila to the World's Pitches" means
Bootega is built in the Philippines — far from most of the retailers, sellers, and pitches its archive covers. The tagline is a statement of intent: distance shouldn't stand between a collector and a grail boot. Wherever a pair is listed, whatever pitch it was worn on, Bootega exists to close that gap through search, not shipping.
From Instagram to a platform
The jump from an IG page to a full search engine was about scale. An archive of screenshots can't compare sixteen retailers in seconds or track live prices across currencies — a platform can. Bootega keeps the archive's eye for detail and pairs it with real-time discovery tools.

"Seller" and "Partner" are different things on Bootega. A Seller is an individual approved to list their own boots for sale. A Partner is a brand, retailer, or store whose catalogue Bootega surfaces at scale — with the option of paid featured placement on top.
Being searchable on Bootega is free for everyone, sellers and partners alike. Revenue only ever comes from optional Featured placement — a visibility boost, never a requirement to appear in results.

Seller Policy & Joint Guarantee
1. What Bootega is
Bootega is a discovery aggregator. We surface listings from independent sellers and third-party retailers so buyers can compare them in one place. Bootega is not a marketplace, payment processor, or logistics provider — we do not hold funds, inventory, or shipments at any point.
2. Seller obligations
Sellers listed on Bootega agree to list boots accurately (condition, size, authenticity), respond to buyer inquiries in good faith, and honor the price and details shown at the time of contact unless both parties agree to a change.
3. The Joint Guarantee
The Joint Guarantee is a good-faith commitment between Bootega, the seller, and the buyer — not a financial or legal guarantee. If a dispute arises (item not as described, non-delivery, etc.), Bootega will attempt good-faith mediation between both parties to reach a fair resolution.
4. No escrow, no held funds
Bootega does not hold, process, or escrow any payment. All money changes hands directly between buyer and seller (or buyer and retailer). Because of this, Bootega cannot guarantee refunds or reverse a transaction — our role is limited to mediation and, where warranted, removing a seller from the platform.
5. Featured listings
Featured placement is a visibility boost only. It does not imply Bootega endorsement of condition, pricing, or authenticity beyond what the seller has represented.

Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
Search queries and result counts, a device-generated client ID, basket contents, seller applications and listings you submit, suggestion messages, reviews, and — if you sign in with Google — your name, email, and Google account ID.
2. How we use it
To run search and price comparison, show your recent searches and basket, review seller applications, sync your basket across devices when signed in, and understand overall usage (aggregate stats only, shown in our public search count).
3. Local storage & cookies
Bootega stores your basket, recent searches, and a random client ID in your browser's local storage. Signing in stores a session token in session storage, cleared when you close the tab or sign out.
4. Third parties
We use Google OAuth for optional sign-in, Google Sheets as our data store, and — when configured — the Anthropic API for optional boot-detail enrichment. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
5. Deletion requests
To request deletion of account-linked data (Google email, synced basket, reviews attributed to your account), send a request via the Suggest tab with the subject “Data deletion.” Anonymous localStorage data can be cleared by clearing site data in your browser.

1. Discovery aggregator only
Bootega is a discovery and comparison tool. We do not sell boots, process payments, or act as a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers or retailers.
2. Prices are not guaranteed
Prices, sizes, and availability shown on Bootega are pulled from third-party retailers and independent sellers and can change without notice. Always confirm final price and stock directly with the seller or retailer before paying.
3. Disputes
For seller listings, disputes are handled under our , which explains Bootega's good-faith mediation role and its limits.
4. Acceptable use
Don't scrape, abuse, or attempt to disrupt Bootega's search infrastructure. Seller applications and listings must be truthful and belong to the applicant.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bootega is not liable for losses arising from third-party listings, retailer site changes, failed transactions, shipping disputes, or reliance on prices or availability shown in search results. Bootega provides discovery tools only.
6. Changes
These terms are a draft and may change as Bootega grows. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
